In 2018 together with Justdiggit and local farmers we started restoring trees using Kisiki Hai in the below communal land located in Iduo village in Dodoma Tanzania. In 2021 the land has already shown significant changes with 3,000+ trees that have been restored using Kisiki Hai technique. This is just one the hundreds of communal lands which have been restored and just a small piece of the in total 6.3 million trees that we have restored together since 2018.
In two years we have restored over 400,000 trees in Mima and Kibakwe disvisions of Mpwapwa district. We have achieved this in partnership with Ecosia and the local farmers. These trees have been brought back using a method named Kisiki Hai, it helps to restore degraded lands and make them green and healthy again.
FMNR or as we like to call it Kisiki Hai, is fundamental to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), improving the lives of thousands of people and their
Meet some of our hard working champion farmers Ashery, Janeth and Foibe all from Msunjilile village in Dodoma region. After they received training from us and Justdiggit in 2018, these real climate champions have inspired over 400 households in their village to start bringing back trees through Kisiki Hai technique. Together with other farmers in the village, they have brought back over 30,000 trees in Msunjulile village alone.

We are happy to welcome an amazing Regreen Revolution Ambassador to support our cause. The East Africa’s Queen of Hip Hop Frida Amani has joined our hands in making Tanzania and the world aware that nature based solutions are fundamental in restoration of degraded lands and inspire everyone to make that change happen.
After the start of the Pembamonto Rainwater Harvesting project with our amazing partners Justdiggit back in 2018, we have more regreening images that show what can be achieved in just 3 years. Both of these photos were taken in the same period during the dry season in Pembamoto, Tanzania.
Did you know that, according to research by The Nature Conservancy, nature-based solutions are 37% of the solution in reversing global warming? This is the decade of doing. Together we can bring
We have handed out 1,000 bicycles to our champion farmers within the Dodoma region. Champion farmers have been the most passionate advocates on sharing the Kisiki Hai tree restoration approach with others within their community. They have done so through training, demonstration, and mentoring. Together with Justdiggit and the farmers, we have inspired and activated over 100,000 farmers to pick up the Kisiki Hai technique and other regreening approaches of which it has resulted to restoring over 6.3 million trees in
We are having a great month with awakentrees who have visited us to learn and get more experience from us on land restoration. Awaken Trees is a new organization based in Austria that supports local FMNR initiatives in Africa. Their mission is to fight both global warming and food scarcity through enabling communities to regenerate trees on their land.
Awaken Trees is currently operating in Northern Ghana with its first partner FONAR (Forum for Natural Regeneration )- another project will start
Last week we conducted a four days training to 200+ of our champion farmers in the Singida Region. We trained them on FMNR or as we like to call it Kisiki Hai restoration technique, Rainwater harvesting technique and other lessons that will help them to inspire and activate their fellow farmers to restore their lands. This training was launched by the Singida Region Commissioner Hon. Dr. Binilith Mahenge.
These enthusiastic champion farmers will inspire and educate around 34,000 other farmers in
February this year we dug thousands of bunds in Arusha, Tanzania. With the help of these half moon bunds, rainwater can infiltrate into the soil and eventually regreen the entire area. The first vegetation has already started to break through.
By using landscape restoration technique, we can bring back the lost vegetation in the degraded lands. This improves the soil quality and allows more vegetation to grow.
