Local farmers from Luhundwa village demonstrating what was once believed to be the impossible by restoring their marginal land with Kisiki Hai. Together with Ecosia and the local farmers from Luhundwa village in Mpwapwa – Dodoma, we started to restore this land in
2019 by pruning shrubs – Kisiki Hai and restricting all human activities in the land. 3 years later, the shrubs have grown to small trees of about 1.5+ meters tall and a lot of vegetation has grown back. This is helping to reverse severe soil erosion on the land, filling up gullies and letting natural vegetation replenish. In few years to come this area will be a forest of big trees.
