We are happy to let you know that we are now expanding our reach and scaling up the regreening to 4 more villages of Monduli, Arusha. Starting from this month, together with Justdiggit and Erbacher we will dig 12,000 water bunds and restore 86,000 trees using the Kisiki Hai tree restoration technique. This will have a positive effect on water availability, soil health, crop yields and grass and fodder for livestock.

We have just completed a 4 day Kisiki Hai and Rainwater Harvesting technique (core subjects) training to 32 new champion farmers in Singida region. In total we have now trained 264 champion farmers in the region who will reach 39,000 farmers and together they will restore over 2,000,000 trees in the next 3 years.

In 2018 together with Justdiggit and local farmers we started restoring trees using Kisiki Hai in the below communal land located in Iduo village in Dodoma Tanzania. In 2021 the land has already shown significant changes with 3,000+ trees that have been restored using Kisiki Hai technique. This is just one the hundreds of communal lands which have been restored and just a small piece of the in total 6.3 million trees that we have restored together since 2018.
In two years we have restored over 400,000 trees in Mima and Kibakwe disvisions of Mpwapwa district. We have achieved this in partnership with Ecosia and the local farmers. These trees have been brought back using a method named Kisiki Hai, it helps to restore degraded lands and make them green and healthy again.

Meet some of our hard working champion farmers Ashery, Janeth and Foibe all from Msunjilile village in Dodoma region. After they received training from us and Justdiggit in 2018, these real climate champions have inspired over 400 households in their village to start bringing back trees through Kisiki Hai technique. Together with other farmers in the village, they have brought back over 30,000 trees in Msunjulile village alone.
