Summary
The overall objective of this project, which targets 600 direct beneficiaries in 8 villages of Kongwa district, is to improve the food and nutritional security of the vulnerable households and to promote sustainable landscape management in the semiarid region of central Tanzania using community-based agroecological approaches through:
- participatory planning, diagnosis and implementation of integrated watershed management; and
- promoting the use of innovative and agroecological based agricultural practices that enhance sustainability and household resilience.

Three years from 2021 to 2023
The first phase of the project is successfully completed and we looking forward to extend the project by scaling it up and adding eight more villages.
